District Dir upper is a hilly and hard to reach area. In some area there is no access road. Also the illiteracy rates are high and the people are unaware about the health delivery system. In spite of all these difficulties District health department Dir upper are struggling to overcome these problems and provide preventive, Promotive and curative services to the peoples. The health care delivery network is managed by the District health office headed by Executive District officer (Health). Being the team leader, the EDO (Health) is assisted by Coordinator NP for FP &PHC, Coordinator HMIS, and Coordinator EPI.
